This international mobility brought together 24 youth workers and educators from 8 countries, united by a common goal: strengthening mental health support systems within youth work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The project focuses on developing essential support and intervention competences for educators working with young people. Over a 15-month collaboration period involving 21 youth organizations across Europe, partners are working to design and implement a comprehensive <strong>Mental Wellbeing &amp; Crisis Management Toolbox<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This toolbox will provide practical resources, intervention frameworks, and competence-development tools to help youth workers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support their own mental wellbeing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify early signs of crisis in young people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond effectively to mental health breakdowns, trauma responses, and triggering situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster emotionally safe and inclusive learning environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase mental wellbeing support competences of 24 youth workers by 30%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen crisis management competences by 40% in identifying and managing mental health-related situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consolidate a European informal network of 21 youth organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhance the capacity of 8 organizations to promote wellbeing and emotional intelligence among young people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected Impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For educators and youth workers:<\/strong><br>Improved resilience, reduced burnout, and stronger professional satisfaction through enhanced mental health management skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For young people:<\/strong><br>Better access to emotional support, increased resilience, and safer educational environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For organizations:<\/strong><br>Stronger crisis response strategies integrated into youth activities, promoting a culture of care, prevention, and emotional intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Outputs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A digital and printed edition of the <em>Mental Wellbeing &amp; Crisis Management Toolbox<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A comprehensive report including findings, best practices, and strategic recommendations for supporting educators and youth workers across Europe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this Erasmus+ initiative, IDEI continues to invest in quality youth work, sustainable partnerships, and stronger mental health frameworks at local and European levels.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Empowering Educators: Mental Wellbeing &amp; Crisis Management in Youth Work Erasmus+ Training Course | Sitia, Greece | 27 August \u2013 2 September 2025 IDEI proudly participated in the Erasmus+ training course \u201cEmpowering Educators: Mental Wellbeing &amp; Crisis Management in Youth Work\u201d, held in Sitia, Greece.
